Accounts are considered active until canceled by the subscriber (you), the account holder or terminated by GTA – see Termination section covered in Terms and Conditions.
Unless otherwise permitted by applicable law, you may cancel any or all of your Services and any corresponding Agreement at any time by contacting us in any of the following ways: Email, phone, letter, or in person. If you have contract term and you cancel your services prior to the expiry of your contract please note certain fees may apply in accordance to the applicable laws and CRTC in your jurisdiction. Cancellation can take effect on the day that GTA receives notice of the cancellation, or a future date specified in that notice (if applicable), whichever is later. Applicable charges continue until that date. However, if you only cancel a Service add-on applicable charges continue to apply until your next billing date for that add-on.
You may cancel GTA Telecom’s Services by calling customer service hotlines or sending an email to ecare@GTAtel.com before 48hrs of installation due date. Full refund will be issued upon return of equipment. If you cancel a paid order 48 hours within Service activation due date, a processing fee will be charged this will include the expenses on the account, which may include shipping handling, payment processing fees, Etc.
Cancellation of Internet services within 48 hours after Service activation, the full installation fee may be applied.
GTA Telecom may unilaterally cancel an indeterminate-term contract by providing the Customer a notice in writing at least 30 days before the date of cancellation.
If You are subscribed to one year prepaid Internet Service or premium plan with GTA Telecom, but request to cancel the service within one year, the full installation fee that was waived at registration will be charged and the balance will be refunded to You.
Equipment return - You assume full responsibility to return all equipment leased by You to GTA Telecom immediately and in good working condition with complete parts, failure to do so within 14 business days after service cancellation, you will be charged for the full cost of any equipment that was not returned to GTA Telecom.
Any credit remaining on the account after clearing all the outstanding balance if any, will be refunded via cheque or to the same credit card, on file, used for the similar amount or higher. If your credit card is no longer active please note your only refund method will then be by cheque. Please keep us up to date with your mailing address. The cheque will be under the account holder’s name and it will be mailed within 30 days after the return of any equipment on the account.
If the account is still active the refund will be then used as credit on the account and it will be applicable on any outstanding future balance.
